What exactly is Tidus?
Tidus is effectively an Aeon, a creation of the summoning performed by Yu Yevon using the numerous Fayth sealed in Mt Gagazet. Past that, the nature of his existence is a little murky. We know that the people of the illusionary Zanarkand are born, grow up, have children of their own, and then age.
Was Tidus a real person?
Thus, Tidus is actually only as real as Yuna’s aeons. The destruction of Zanarkand 1000 years ago resulted from its battle with the machina-powered city of Bevelle. As Tidus was a part of this, he is not an actual human, nor did he travel 1000 years into the future.
Why did Tidus disappear?
Tidus is told that he, Jecht and the Zanarkand they come from, are dreams of the fayth, ordered into existence after the original Zanarkand was destroyed. The fayth want Tidus to defeat Sin permanently so they can cease their dreaming, but if he succeeds, the dream will end and Tidus himself will disappear.

Is Tidus father a sin?
While in Spira, Tidus reminisces about Jecht, not suspecting Sin is his father. Tidus accepts what he must do and promises Jecht he will find a way to end the cycle and free him. Jecht transforming into Braska’s Final Aeon.
Is Auron a dream?
Auron isn’t a dream. Auron is a real guy in Spira who was actually killed by Yunalesca after Auron discovered the truth about the final Aeon and Yu Yevon. Since Auron is basically an unsent he was able to survive Sin and travel to Dream Zanarkand.
