Myths & Mortals is a hard one for me to rate, because while I LOVE the concept behind the series and I find the characters mildly amusing, I struggled a lot with the execution of this book. I think a big part of this had to do with the author’s writing style. There’s nothing bad about it, but it feels too direct too often.

The book Myths and Mortals by Charlie N. Holmberg is a delight and full of wonder. It nicely wraps up the first book and answers some burning questions that were left for the reader of the series. Certainly after reading this book, one would want to read the third book in the aptly named trilogy in hopes of wrapping up and very involved story.
