This is true with all of Inside’s secret orbs. Rock the pillar back and forth to create a bridge to the orb. Cross the bridge to destroy it. Jump the gate and enter the cornfield. Keep pressing the interact button as you walk through it. Eventually, you’ll interact with a hatch.
Where is the orb at the bottom of the ladder?
The orb can be found at the bottom of the ladder. This is located midway through the submarine section after you’ve successfully escaped the first long-haired creature. At the bottom of the water, there’s a crate that you can push with the submarine boost. Push it out of the way to proceed to another orb.

Where do you get gems at level 21?
There’s Abandoned Gems, which is a consolation prize and is in most of the gem nodes you encounter and cities and generic item nodes. It drops quality gems, some of which will be Vaal gems. It’s barely worth picking up. Then there is Ancient Gems. This is the payoff – level 21 gems which can be Vaal and/or 20+ quality.

Is the Vaal orb corrupted in path of exile?
Corrupted items are immutable by game design (exception: modifying sockets via Vorici), so corrupted gems can’t be changed in any way (including improving their quality). You can use the temple corruption instead of the Vaal Orb.
